Michael Jackson was a legendary singer, songwriter, and dancer of  pop music with his mesmerizing performances, groundbreaking videos, and timeless hits.

He was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana. He began his musical career at the age of five, as the lead singer of The Jackson 5, a band formed by his father with his brothers. He soon became the star of the group, with his amazing voice and dance moves.

 

He continued to work with his brothers until 1979, when he released his breakthrough album, Off the Wall, which sold over 20 million copies worldwide and earned him his first Grammy Award.

He reached the peak of his fame in 1982, with the release of Thriller, the best-selling album of all time, with over 100 million copies sold. The album featured iconic songs like Billie Jean, Beat It, and Thriller, and innovative music videos that showcased his signature dance style, the moonwalk.

 

He became a global phenomenon, with millions of fans around the world. He also broke racial barriers, as he was the first black artist to have his videos aired on MTV.

He followed up his success with other albums, such as Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), and HIStory (1995), which also sold millions of copies and won him more awards and recognition.

 

He also collaborated with other artists, such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and Diana Ross. He was also known for his humanitarian work, as he supported many charities and causes, such as USA for Africa, Heal the World Foundation, and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

 

He was also a pioneer in the use of technology and special effects in his concerts and performances, such as the 3D film Captain EO, the hologram of himself at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, and the animatronic robot of himself at Disneyland.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Conclusiones

 

-       El desarrollo de esta actividad nos permite poner en práctica los conocimientos previos adquiridos incluso desde la secundaria del idioma inglés.

-       Nos permite adquirir nuevo vocabulario del idioma ingles para su posterior puesta en práctica.

-       Profundizamos sobre la vida de personajes interesantes y conocemos datos que quizá nunca teníamos presentes.
